Thornton focuses his practice on the tax aspects of many types of transactions, particularly those with an international dimension, including mergers and acquisitions, asset purchase and sales, corporate restructurings, securities offerings, financings and fund formations. He has worked on sophisticated tax issues for a number of large international clients including Virgin Media, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Investec, Rhodia, Thomson Reuters and Edison Mission Energy.
