Klitenic joins the firm’s government contracts/enforcement defense practice, according to a press release. He will represent clients in a variety of government enforcement, regulatory and public policy matters, including investigations and procurement initiative in the homeland security marketplace.

Klitenic served as the first deputy general counsel of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush from 2003 to 2005. In the role he oversaw the operations of the 1,500-lawyers DHS Office of General Counsel, according to the firm.
