King & Spalding Nabs Two from Orrick

King & Spalding added to its professional liability and securities litigation practices with the addition of two partners formerly of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Kenneth Y. Turnbull joins King & Spalding’s Washington D.C. office while David M. Fine will head to New York.

Turnbull and Fine both have trial practices that focus on accountant liability defense and securities –related matters, according to a firm press release. Turnbull brings experience in complex litigation in state, federal and multidistrict proceedings and investigations by United States Attorneys’ Office.  Fine’s practice has an emphasis on financial, accounting and securities-related matters.

“Hiring Ken and David into King & Spalding’s litigation practice furthers our strategic plan of growing our core practices of professional liability litigation and securities litigation,” said L. Joseph Loveland, a senior partner in King & Spalding’s business litigation practice and head of the firm’s professional liability litigation initiative. “They are skilled trial lawyers who will greatly enhance our already-solid reputation as one of the nation’s premier litigation firms, distinguished by our deep trial experience combined with big firm resources.”

King & Spalding is an international law firm with more than 800 attorneys.
