Massachusetts Bar to Honor Fish & Richardson

Fish & Richardson will be honored by the Massachusetts Bar Association with the Pro Bono Awards for law firms March 12 at Westin Copley Place in Boston. The firm is receiving the award for its longtime support of the Northeast Housing Court Lawyer for a Day Program. According to a press release from the bar association, Fish & Richardson has donated more than 2,300 attorney hours to the program.

Of Counsel Heidi E. Harvey said the firm began the pro bono program in 1992 and it expanded as more attorneys were added to Fish & Richardson.

“Although we are historically an IP boutique, as the firm grew and added attorneys with lots of different backgrounds, the interest and support for pro bono also grew,” Harvey said. “One of the most satisfying things to me is to look at the firm today, 18 years later, and see that firm wide commitment to and participation in pro bono work.”

Fish & Richardson has more than 400 lawyers with 11 offices in the United States and Germany.
