ML Strategies, the consulting affiliate of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, has named Tom Koutsoumpas senior vice president. Koutsoumpas has more than 30 years experience in government, public policy and issue advocacy on the federal and state levels.

Koutsoumpas most recently served as corporate vice president of federal affairs with United Health Group. He also served for 11 years in a variety of staff and legislative functions for former U.S. Sen. Birch Bayh of Indiana. He will work out of Mintz Levin’s Washington D.C. office.

ML Strategies works in a number of industries including health care, energy and clean technology, life sciences, telecommunications and transportation.
