Former White House Deputy Counsel Pleads Not Guilty

As we previously reported former White House Deputy Counsel John Michael Farren was arrested on January 6 for the attempted murder of his wife Marry Farren after beating her in the face with a flashlight and choking her. Today Farren pleaded not guilty to the charge of first-degree criminal attempt at murder in Stamford Superior Court. The judge expanded the no contact order against Farren to include the victim’s parents and three brothers. The judge also ordered Farren to wear a GPS monitoring device if he posts his $2 million bond. He is restricted from leaving the state of Connecticut. On January 8 his law license was suspended.

Farren will appear again in court on February 16 for a pretrial hearing.
