Governator Appoints 8 Los Angeles Superior Court Judges

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has announced the appointment of eight new superior court judges to the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Stephanie M. Bowick has served as an assistant general counsel for the Los Angeles Unified School District since 2001. Previously, she was a deputy city attorney for the cities of Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco; and a litigation associate for Barrack Rodos & Bacine, Berman & Clark, and Mills & Schroeder. Her JD is from the Howard University School of Law.

Henry J. Hall was elected by the judges of the court as a Superior Court Commissioner in 2007. Prior to that, he served as head deputy alternate public defender for the LA County Alternate Public Defender’s Office. His JD is from Loyola Law School.

Randall F. Pacheco became a Superior Court commissioner in 2001. He was a deputy public defender for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office. Pacheco was an associate attorney for Newman Chrisman and Faith after graduating from Hastings Law School.

Renee F. Korn has served as a deputy district attorney since 1990. She also earned her law degree from the Hastings Law School.

Olivia Rosales has been with the DA’s office since 1995; she previously served as a deputy attorney general for the California Attorney General’s Office. Her JD is from UCLA law.

Ralph C. Hofer was a partner at LA’s Blecher & Collins. Previously he was an assistant US attorney for the Department of Justice; and a litigation associate for Bryan Cave. His law degree is from USC.

Stephen M. Moloney was a senior partner at Gilbert Kelly Crowley & Jennett. He graduated from Santa Clara Law School.

Gary Y. Tanaka was with the Office of County Counsel in 2006. He was a deputy alternate public defender and a deputy public defender. His JD is from Western State University.
