FloridaDozens of Broward County, Florida public lawyers and staffers protested in front of a Fort Lauderdale courthouse this week, over proposed salary cuts for state employees.

The protesters included a variety of justice personnel, from public defenders to court interpreters. They believe they are already overworked and underpaid, and that further cuts are unfair.

The state House of Representatives wants to cut up to 5% of pay, while a Senate bill calls for a 1% cut for persons making over $100,000 a year.
