The Law Society Shelves Integradata Management System

The Law Society has set aside a £500,000 IT project, blaming “technical issues” for the problems.

The project, known as the Integradata management system, was established in 2007, however, has had many problems since its inception.

An external IT analyst was hired for six months last year. However, the system failed to jumpstart.

The Law Society decided to “suspend further rollout pending resolution of technical issues adversely affecting the first departmental installation of Integra,” according to the minutes from a meeting conducted last year.

The project was intended to mange membership data for all UK Solicitors.

A spokesman for Law Society said, “We’re in the process of building a new database so we can provide more efficient support to solicitors. We’ve paused work to ensure it’s proceeding effectively and will meet our needs and that of the profession.”
