GENERAL INFORMATION Classification: Full Time Office Location: Downtown Conway, SC (Horry County) Office Hours: M-TH 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. JOB DESCRIPTION Provide zealous and diligent legal representation of client matters while maintaining ethical duties and civility Evaluate and identify issues, provide legal advice and develop legal strategy for client matters Unless Attorney has more than three years of experience, Associate shall work under the direct supervision and training of the Senior Attorney Provide quality legal services and superior customer service to clients Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, summaries, orders, notices, memos and other legal documents Draft discovery, subpoenas, and respond to discovery requests Court appearances for motions, hearings, and trials Perform multi-task duties and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment Keep accurate track of billable time and meet minimum billable hours quota Assist in promoting the firm and generating new client matters Perform other duties as assigned by Supervising Attorney REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Juris Doctor degree Licensed by the South Carolina Bar Two or more years practicing law Excellent critical thinking skills Good verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on attention to written details Computer and word processing proficiency Professional dress and well-groomed appearance Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines SALARY AND BENEFITS Salary commensurate with experience; range $45,000-$100,000+ Bonus opportunities Retirement Plan Option Health Insurance Option Annual SC Bar Dues Annual Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Budget Paid Time Off (PTO) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS If you are an intrepid perfectionist who is eager to save the world one client at a time, then please send your best writing sample, your current resume with a cover letter stating your required minimum starting salary requirements.
