Appellate boutique looking for an attorney who has been practicing for 3-7 years with exceptional writing skills and a working knowledge of all aspects of litigation from intake to trial and post-trial motions. The ideal candidate will have appellate experience: however, exceptions will be made for particularly well-qualified candidates. The attorney will be expected to read, analyze, and summarize appellate records; develop strategies for legal arguments; research applicable law; and draft legal arguments for complex appeals. The attorney will be expected to work up their own appellate caseload, with significant support from a partner.The firm specializes in handling complex appeals involving multimillion-dollar judgments. Our particular focus is on appeals for plaintiffs in employment law and major injury cases, but we handle an array of civil appellate matters, including contracts, class actions, child molestation, police brutality/excessive force, insurance bad faith, and real property disputes, among others. This is a unique opportunity for a talented, ambitious, and dedicated attorney to become part of a well-respected appellate team.Compensation is $110-$140k annually (commensurate with experience) plus benefits and discretionary bonus.
