The Aurit Center for Divorce Mediation, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is seeking a well qualified Professional Divorce Mediator with a dynamic personality and passion for strategic mediation to join our team. 

The Aurit Center has conducted hundreds of successful divorce mediation cases and thousands of individual mediations. Our approach guides spouses to personalize their best possible agreements. We value the importance of reducing stress for everyone involved, and believe in protecting children from the harm of litigation.

Qualified candidates will support and advance The Aurit Center’s core values: We approach clients in  a way that is simple, caring, strategic, mindful, positive, and honest. 

Working hours are Monday – Friday 8AM to 5:30PM. We are also seeking individuals able to work a creative schedule that would include evening and weekend hours.  

We welcome exceptional graduating law school students who have demonstrated a strong desire to pursue mediation as a career.

Salary commensurate with experience.

The responsibilities of a Professional Mediator include:

  • Conducting initial mediation consultations to educate potential clients
  • Conducting a series of two-hour mediation meetings with clients 
  • Drafting Consent Decrees, Property Settlement Agreements, Parenting Plans, and any other necessary legal documents that effectuate client agreements
  • Facilitating a document editing process to finalize divorce documents prior to signing
  • Communicating with clients via email and phone
  • Writing mediation related articles for The Aurit Center blog and wider publication
  • Maintaining client files, including tracking court deadlines and statuses
  • Promoting development of healthy and productive co-parenting relationships among clients
  • Strategically assisting spouses through the lowest conflict divorce process possible

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Love for the work of family mediation
  • Completed at least a 40-hours of training in family/domestic mediation
  • Graduated from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar license from any state  
  • Significant mediation training, or academic education in dispute resolution
  • Devotion to continuous learning of meditation techniques, skills, and approaches
  • Empathy for divorcing spouses and families experiencing divorce
  • Genuine care for the health and well being of children involved in their parents divorce
  • An understanding of mindfulness theory 
  • Willingness to embrace a team approach to communicating with clients
  • Commitment to advance a facilitative style of mediation, and comfort working mainly in joint mediation sessions 
  • Willingness to complete further mediator certification
