Attorneys helping people........Brayton Purcell LLP is an extremely busy plaintiff's litigation practice with headquarters in Marin County. This position is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on experience covering depositions, Court appearances, law and motion work, client interaction, and case management. The associate attorney represents plaintiffs in primarily asbestos personal injury and wrongful death actions, answers discovery, writes motions and oppositions, defends and takes depositions, manage cases from inception to pre-trial, advise clients, and appears at court hearings. Duties are expanded as appropriate as experience is gained. Opportunity to 2nd and 1st chair trials. Duties are required to be fulfilled within the office and/or as assigned at various appearances outside of the office. Qualified candidates should possess 1+ years of legal experience. An exceptionally strong work ethic, the ability to multitask, and excellent communication and analytical skills are required. Prior asbestos experience a plus. Trial experience a plus. Licensed in Oregon not required but a plus. Federal Court experience also a plus. Candidates must be admitted to the State Bar of California.
