Attorney with growing employee rights practice is hiring an associate attorney. The office handles employment-related matters of all types with a focus on cases involving claims of discrimination, equal pay, retaliation, harassment, and sexual assault. Most of your time will be spent on litigations in federal and state courts, administrative charges, and arbitrations. Many of our cases are the subject of public attention. Please see our website at www.mintzerfirm.com for representative matters. This position will be a hybrid of remote and in-person work. Our office is located in midtown Manhattan. The position is full-time, but will consider part-time for the right candidate. There are no minimum billable hour requirements and work-life balance will be respected. However, longer than usual hours will sometimes be necessary to meet court deadlines or for hearings and trials. Expected base salary range for the position is $100,000 to $110,000. There will also be commissions for originating cases and discretionary bonuses. The following are minimum requirements for the position: 2-5 years of work experience following law school; experience taking and defending depositions is preferred; trial experience is a plus. Demonstrated interest in employment law, the representation of employees, and/or individuals in similar practice areas (e.g., civil rights).
