Jackson Lewis is looking for an attorney to join its data-driven workplace equity practice. This role involves both proactive advice and strategic representation in defense of administrative claims. Proactively, the role advises clients on equal employment opportunity laws, assists with compliance with related-federal regulations, advances employment equity and diversity initiatives, oversees pay equity analyses, and related counseling. The role also represents clients in United States Department of Labor investigations. Our team includes a creative group of attorneys and staff, including data analysts and statisticians, who work together to leverage client-specific data to assist in advice and counseling on diversity and equity issues in the workplace, as well as the defense of discrimination claims. Duties and Responsibilities: Advise on equal employment opportunity laws and practices to assess and advance workplace equity Assist with proactive, privileged pay equity analyses to help identify and close unexplained gender- and race-based pay gaps Counsel on the design, development and implementation of affirmative action plans Defend employers in Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) compliance reviews, including against claims of systemic discrimination in employer hiring, promotion, termination, and pay Advise and train employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination, pay equity, pre-employment testing, applicant tracking systems and hiring processes, reductions-in-force, and other federal contractor obligations Provide proactive advice and counsel to employers on related laws Client development and management Skills and Educational Requirements: JD from accredited law school 2-4 years of experience preferred, employment law experience a plus Prior experience with equity/EEO laws and affirmative action regulations preferred Colorado Bar Admission preferred Excellent attention to detail, including working with large data reports Strong organizational and project management skills, including managing numerous projects at once Ability to work in a collaborative team and effectively oversee other professionals Excellent written and oral communication skills We offer a competitive starting salary and a comprehensive benefits package, along with opportunity for growth.
