Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost LLP, an education law firm, has an immediate opening for an entry to mid-level Associate in our Los Angeles office.

 

The Labor & Employment team is skilled in collective bargaining, contract administration, managing public perception, and grievance processing, as well as all areas of public agency employment law. Our firm works with nearly all types of public agencies throughout the state, including school districts ranging from single-site to multi-campus school districts, County Offices of Education, community college districts, superior courts, and special districts.


Selected candidates should:

  • Four to seven years' experience practicing public sector labor and employment law and desire to work with school districts and other public entities
  • Have a working knowledge of employment and/or civil litigation, California labor law, collective bargaining, and/or EEO agency processes is required; experience in public, administrative and education law is preferred
  • Have excellent analytical, research, writing skills, and people skills as well as a penchant to work in the areas of areas of traditional labor law, collective bargaining and contract administration/ grievances

  • Be able to assume significant client responsibility
  • Be a member of the State Bar of California
  • Travel to clients throughout Southern California with occasional travel to other areas of the state
