Profile

We are currently looking for a consumer Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team. This position is responsible for representing debtors in consumer bankruptcy in Fort Worth, Texas.

The position includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

  • Meet with potential clients;
  • Advise clients on the different options available to them through bankruptcy;
  • Draft new bankruptcy cases;
  • Help manage cases from filing through discharge;
  • Attend hearings;
  • Request/approve drafts of various objections, pleadings, and motions;
  • Stay informed of developments in bankruptcy law;
  • Meet with existing clients to prepare for hearings;
  • Respond to client questions via phone and email.

Required Characteristics and Credentials

  • Member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas;
  • Preferably one year experience working in consumer bankruptcy (creditor or debtor);
  • Superior time management, organizational, and communication skills;
  • High level of adaptability;
  • Able to function with a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy in handling any complaints and situations;
  • Enjoys working as part of a team;
  • Moderate computer skills.
