The candidate must be highly collaborative with the ability to garner the trust of others, build productive internal and external professional relationships, and operate effectively in a diverse environment with lawyers and non-lawyers alike. You must be able to provide practical advice to non-legal team members on a variety of legal and business issues. You must have excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, be proactive, and be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects. You must be a detail oriented person with a strong commitment to quality, work product and attention to detail. Responsibilities: Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing commercial leases. Overseeing issues that come up in the life cycle of a commercial lease. Handling consumer complaints filed with regulatory agencies. Dealing with issues that come up in the life cycle of a consumer complaint. Dealing with consumer protection matters. Negotiate, review, and draft a broad range of commercial agreements and deal with issues that come up in the life cycle of a contract. Assist General Counsel as required. Education & Experience Required: A degree in law (JD or LLB) Meets New Jersey law license requirements 3 – 5 years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or in house Experience in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail. Experience with overseeing outside counsel and management of outside counsel spent would be an asset.
