LEGAL SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY STAFF ATTORNEY POSITION LSE is a statewide non-profit organization that has been providing free legal services to Maine seniors for forty five years. LSE has a fulltime Staff Attorney position open. The Staff Attorney will work from a home office for an indefinite basis but will eventually be assigned to work out of an LSE office that is near the attorney’s place of residence. The Staff Attorney will handle a wide variety of civil litigation matters. Candidates must be licensed to practice in Maine (or be eligible for admission or sitting for the bar exam in September) and have 0-5 years of related legal experience. Candidates must also have a strong interest in and/or experience doing civil litigation and a commitment to working with and helping the elderly. The Staff Attorney will work as part of a team of Staff Attorneys and receive ongoing professional training and support. LSE offers a collegial work environment and an excellent benefit package. Interviews will begin on or after Ocotber 9 and continue until the job is filled.
