The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has a vacancy for a staff attorney in its St. Louis Regional Counsel’s Office located in Chesterfield, Missouri. The position would be primarily responsible for handling litigation in the areas of eminent domain, general and fleet vehicle tort liability, and workers’ compensation, as well as a limited office practice. Requirements include: a Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing with the Missouri Bar Association. Excellent research, writing and communication skills are preferred. This is an entry-level position, which has a starting salary of $49,680/year - $50,820/year. MoDOT also offers an excellent personal leave, medical and retirement benefits package. Moderate overnight and out of state travel is required.
