Medical malpractice experience or medical professional experience, ie: RN, PA or EMT, a plus. Applicant must be able to exercise independent judgement and discretion to perform substantive legal functions in client matters such as drafting pleadings, motions and discovery, review medical records, perform legal research, meet with clients and expert witnesses and attend depositions. Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively, perform work timely and under pressure, be a team player, and travel locally and out of state to attend to client matters. Applicant will participate in the firm’s marketing efforts and will be responsible for client development. The position requires that the applicant be a member in good standing with the California State Bar and be available to live in the Sacramento area.
