JD Journal sells out

JD Journal Press release
December 1, 2006

With the huge success of its inaugural issue and a flood of requests asking for subscriptions, JD Journal has met its initial goal to become the number-one source of information in the legal community. JD Journal has decided to go forward with the next issue of the publication but will increase its annual distribution from 750,000 to 850,000. JD Journal is an original-content magazine designed to entertain and inform. The magazine's introductory issue debuted in October. JD Journal effectively deals with issues and concerns directly related to the lives of attorneys, law students, and other legal staff.

Each issue of JD Journal is dedicated to in-depth analysis of current trends in the legal community, professional profiles, academic and lifestyle discussions for law students, and a few out-of-the-ordinary goings-on in the world. A. Harrison Barnes, Publisher and CEO of JD Journal says, "The success of a magazine like ours that caters to the legal community is unprecedented in today's publishing world."

The magazine employs a staff of professional writers working within the field of legal careers and providing the reader with inside views of the worlds of academia, legal practice, and business. The magazine also benefits from the input of a distinguished editorial advisory board.

Some of the highlights of the inaugural issue included an interview with Erin Brockovich, tips for deciphering law firm culture, a judge's insights on dropping out of law school, and intimate glimpses of four attorneys who made big differences in small towns.

Barnes states, "Because the magazine is backed by Juriscape, the widespread distribution of our legal products demands that we stay up-to-date on developments in the legal community."

JD Journal magazine will be published bimonthly, with an annual distribution of 850,000. JD Journal and its subsidiaries comprise the largest group of organizations in the world dedicated to getting attorneys jobs. With a team of more than 200 researchers and editorial staff, they are also the leaders in providing research for the legal recruiting community. JD Journal is now the official source for information related to the legal community, providing insight for tens of thousands of law students, attorneys, and legal staff professionals.
