Bill Cosby’s Alleged Rape Victims Now Total 60

Summary: The Washington Post claims Bill Cosby’s total rape accusers is now 60 women.

The Washington Post, which has been extensively covering the Bill Cosby sexual assault saga, said yesterday that the total number of recorded accusers has jumped from 58 to 60.

The media site reported that two rape accusations from a 2005 civil case filed by Andrea Constand have recently come to light. Constand, a former Temple University employee, sued Cosby for sexual assault, and she obtained 12 Jane Doe accusers to help with her case. After reviewing the lawsuit, The Washington Post discovered two accusers, Jane Doe No. 6 and Jane Doe No. 8 that were previously not tracked. The site said those two alleged victims brought Cosby’s catalog of accusers to 60.

Jane Doe No. 6 said that she had been in Cosby’s hotel room in the 1980s following one of his performances at Clemson University. She said he offered her Kahlua with coffee before he asked, “Do you like back rubs or belly rubs?” The woman said that she gave Cosby a belly rub and then passed out.

Jane Doe No. 8 was a modeling agency booker when she met Cosby, now 79, in the 1980s. According to her friend Tony Hogue, Jane Doe No. 8 had dinner with Cosby and a model, and later that night, she called Hogue to pick her up. He found her distressed with rumpled clothing. Hogue said she was “uncomfortable” because Cosby had touched and kissed her, and he said it was alarming when she revealed that she “couldn’t even really move.”

The model in Hogue’s story would later become Jane Doe No.5.

Cosby has vehemently denied all charges. The Constand civil suit was settled, and he is now facing criminal charges in Philadelphia stemming from her allegation. A pretrial conference is scheduled for early September.
