Summary: A California judge has ruled that Trump University must release its internal documents to the public.

Trump wasn’t happy with his latest “hater.” The 2016 presumptive GOP presidential candidate called Judge Gonzalo Curiel a “hater of Donald Trump” after he ruled that Trump University internal documents be released to the public.

Curiel is Hispanic, and Trump publicly questioned whether the federal judge was biased because of Trump’s polarizing campaign promise of deporting Mexican immigrants and building a wall between the United States and Mexico.

“Because of the wall and because of everything that’s going on with Mexico … this is a judge who I believe has treated me very, very unfairly,” Trump said.

On Friday, Curiel stated that Trump University documents will be available to the public on Thursday. This comes as a direct response by a request made from The Washington Post, who stated that Trump’s political position has created public interest in his business character.

Trump’s attorneys argued that the internal documents still served commercial use, which Curiel rejected. The judge said Trump University was not going to open again.

The Washington Post’s request came because of the ongoing class action lawsuits filed against Trump University. “Trump University,” which is not an actual university, offered costly real estate seminars nationwide along with Trump Elite memberships that cost anywhere from $10,000 to $35,000. Students allege that university officials urged them to buy memberships, even on credit; and they claim that the memberships proved ultimately useless and the expert instructors they were supposed to get were not actually experts themselves.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman referred to the school as a “sham.”

Curiel set the Trump University trial date for November 28. Another similar lawsuit is pending in New York state.
