D.C. Office of Greenberg Traurig Welcomes Andrew Zausner
Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced via a press release that Andrew Zausner has joined the firm as the Chair of the Washington, D.C. Government Law and Policy Practice. He comes to the firm from Dickstein Shapiro.
Zausner comes to the firm with 12 others from Dickstein Shapiro, where he was the Chair of their Public Policy & Law Practice. Some of the 12 coming with him include former Representative Albert R. Wynn, former Senator Tim Hutchinson, Ron Mangas. Mangas is the former Chief of Staff to Senator Wendell Ford.
Richard A. Rosenbaum, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, said the following in the release: “Our focus is on delivering comprehensive solutions and real value to clients. That means effective representation in transactions, in litigation and through federal and state legislative processes. Our clients want further support in Washington, D.C. and we have made careful selections to build on our base of excellence, adding close to 40 lawyers and lobbyists in Washington, D.C. during the past 12 months. These are patient choices to increase our strategic momentum in this critical market, not big mergers or vereins that would challenge our culture and finances. To a person, these first-class individuals stand for character, integrity and substance, and will advance the interests of a broad range of our clients. When it comes to the governmental arena, our strength is not just in Washington, but as a top-tier player in what many of our clients consider the four key state capitals: California, Florida, New York, and Texas.”
Over the past 12 months, some 40 attorneys and lobbyists have joined the firm at its D.C. office. Zausner focuses his practice on issues related to natural resources, energy, real estate, consumer products, international relations and healthcare.
Zausner said the following in the release: “The world has changed. Clients want the kind of broad yet unified and efficient presence that Greenberg Traurig can uniquely deliver. We were also drawn to the opportunity to build upon the fine platform here at a time when disciplined management, independent thinking, and real value are increasingly hard to find.”
