Greenberg Traurig Names New Co-Chair of Global Benefits and Compensation Group

Les Klein, a shareholder in the Phoenix office of Greenberg Traurig has been named the Co-Chair of the law firm’s Global Benefits and Compensation Group. He will be working with the other Co-Chair of the group, Jeffrey Mamorsky from the firm’s New York office.

Speaking on the promotion of Klein, who has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation, John Cummerford, co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Phoenix office said, “The recognition is well deserved.”

Cummerford said, “Les is well known and respected nationally for his employee benefits and executive compensation experience, and his appointment to Co-Chair of the Global Benefits and Compensation Group gives the Phoenix office a unique perspective and ability to explore unmet needs in our local business community.”

The exiting Co-Chair of the group, Steve Lapidus, said, “Having had the privilege of serving for many years as Co-Chair of our Global Benefits and Compensation Group, I thought it was time for me to step down and allow for some new blood to be introduced into that role.” He added, “I could not be more pleased to announce that Les Klein has agreed to take on that responsibility, and will serve as Co-Chair with Jeff Mamorsky in my stead effective immediately. I know that Les has the confidence and support of all in our group and that makes me very comfortable in making this transition at this time.”
