Zac Efron’s Downtown L.A. Attack
No arrests were made in connection to the questionable incident and the details of the alleged argument are still unclear, according to the New York Daily News. Zac Efron was reportedly involved in a fight in a bad area of downtown L.A. just after midnight on Sunday.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, that Zac Efron, 26, ended up getting violently punched in the mouth by a sketchy transient. Zac Efron was in rehab twice last year for cocaine abuse, according to TMZ and the area where this took place in Downtown L.A. is rough. Cops are on high alert for drug deals and gangs.
The Hollywood actor reportedly told police that he had run out of gas and was sitting in his car, while waiting for a tow truck; he allegedly threw a bottle out of the window, with it smashing on the pavement near a group of men. This is what allegedly sparked the altercation in the skid row area of town. According to Digital Spy, Zac Efron is quoted as saying, “It was the hardest I’ve ever been hit in my life.”
Zac Efron became known as a teen idol after his lead roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, the WB series Summerland, and the 2007 film version of the Broadway musical Hairspray.
