Healthcare Lawyer Colleen Heisey Joins Jones Day

The global law firm Jones Day. announced this week that veteran healthcare attorney Colleen Heisey has joined the law firm’s Washington Office as a partner in Health Care practice. Jones Day has been beefing up its Health Care practice and Heisey is the fourth healthcare attorney hired by the law firm within the past five weeks.

Prior to Heisey, Catherine Livingston, a former chief healthcare counsel of the Internal Revenue Service joined the law firm as a partner in March. During her tenure at the IRS, Livingston had helped the department define and create its “pay or play” rule that mandates businesses pay a penalty if they fail to provide employees with healthcare coverage.

Heisey would be primarily focusing on food and drug law with emphasis on advertising, promotion, and compliance counseling. Colleen Heisey was a partner at Hunton & Williams’ Washington office, before she joined Jones Day.
