Lindsay Lohan Arrives Late to Court Hearing in L.A.

Lindsay Lohan missed her flight to Los Angeles Sunday night with her court date on Monday just hours away, according to TMZ. Her appearance is to begin the trial for reportedly lying to police this past summer after her crash on PCH. A bench warrant would have been issued if Lohan did not show up in person.

Lohan was scheduled to be on a flight from New York to Los Angeles at 9 PM ET Sunday night, but skipped the flight. She instead went to a club in NYC to see a band named City of the Sun.

The hearing was scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM PT. Her flight was diverted to LAX, which put her very close to the courthouse, giving her a decent chance of making it on-time. This was around 8 AM PT. Mark Heller, Lohan’s attorney, arrived around 8:24 AM PT.

Her plane did not land at LAX until 8:35 AM PT. Lindsay arrived at the courthouse around 9:18 AM PT, which was 48 minutes late. At one point this morning, Heller got into his Hummer and drove away from the courthouse while Lohan’s dad was still in the courthouse. The truck driver involved in the case was also in attendance prior to Lohan’s arrival.

That lawyer sure displayed confidence in his client’s ability to show up in court — NOT!
