VIDEO: Cat Friend Versus Dog Friend

Some of us are cat people, others dog people. Of course, many people have both a cat and a dog, and maybe a ferret or gerbil in the mix. But if you are canny and shrewd, you can probably guess what kind of pet your new acquaintance has at home right on the first date before even asking the question. But what if our friends really were “cat-people” and “dog-people.” This skit explores what it would look like if our friends were cats and dogs.

The video is perhaps a test of whether you yourself prefer cats or dogs. If you watch it and think the dog is a complete idiot, but the cat cool in his aloofness, you are probably a cat person; but if you think the cat is an asshole, and the dog just a cheerful and friendly pal, you belong to the other camp.

Among its finer moments include when the “owner” is sitting on the couch with his “dog” friend laying his head on his shoulder in adoration. The “cat” friend walks directly over the owner’s lap and newspaper, perches next to him without any sort of fawning admiration or overbearing affection, and then casually bats at his newspaper for a little attention.
