Ironically the first time I ever saw the "Apple" style page turn in an app was when Adobe did it with Flash as a demo for a version of flash about 7 or 8 years ago. You know, Flash, that old technology that is way behind the times according to Apply? Yeah, that one.

This sickens me but doesn't shock me. apple seems to be getting away with everything in the U.S. lately. Is there something illegal going on? Have they learned how to control people minds (joke). Somethings going on and it has to be found out. There has to be a government agency or journalist that sees this and wants to get to the bottom of this.

Clearly since Apple is so precise about their patents, and the fact that a rounded corner is important, we can deduce from the diagram shown that the page turning patent only applies if you also have two tine rectangular boxes on the page in the top left hand corner.

Seriously though, Apple has done this for years - look at what they did to Digital Research Gem which was way ahead of its time. The problem here is the US patent courts need a shake-up and get staffed with people who have common sense.

Looks like the US Patent Office is a monopoly and/or totalitarian government branch. The lawsuits based on existing US patent infringements should be thrown out or put hold until two, three more of such offices exist to review patents, to ensure check and balance and correctness on giving patents to ideas and designs.

Thank you. I'm glad there are people who recognize Apple patents for what they mostly are: ridiculous and abusive.

I heard that Apple is submitting a patent on a circular device that can roll on the ground and has the ability to have center pole connected between two of these circular devices for better stability. They are going to call it a wheel.

How do we read eBooks after this???

In a few years, Apple is going to sue trees for growing fruits that resemble their company logo :)

Insanity! I published an interactive "book" called The Lost Pharaoh on AOL's original servers way back in 1994. Clicking on the pages triggered an animated page turn.

Ironically, this was done with apple's original Hypercard software.

The patent system is for shite.
