Elmo Voice, Kevin Clash, Sent Emails to Accuser

In an update to a story we published yesterday, the voice of Elmo talked through emails to the underage boy he had a sexual relationship with, according to TMZ. The email exchange obtained by TMZ took place in 2010, after the boy became of legal age. Clash reportedly apologized for constantly talking about sex and promised the boy that he would make all of his ‘dreams come true.’

Clash received discipline from Sesame for sending personal emails from his Sesame Street email account. The email in question was sent to the man who claimed that he was in a relationship with Clash when he was 16.

Clash wrote the following in the email, which was sent after the boy turned 18, “I’m sorry that I keep talking about sex with you, its driving me insane. I want you to know that I love you and I will never hurt you. I’m here to protect you and make sure your dreams come true. I’ll have my assistant book a ticket for you to come to NY and we can talk about this in person.”

Clash has said that he did have a relationship with the accuser but that it occurred after the accuser was of legal age. Clash is now on a leave of absence from Sesame Street and has said that he will fight the allegations against him.
