Seyfarth Brings on Miles Borden to the New York Office

Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one the U.S. legal giants, has added 20 attorneys across the country in 2012, which was a good year for them, bringing as its latest Miles Borden as a new partner to their Real Estate Department in New York.

Borden hales from Troutman Sanders where he gained experience in real estate transactions, especially regarding corporate mergers and acquisitions. He has a potpourri of related experience in Individual Development accounts (IDA), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), joint ventures, mortgage, mezzanine and construction loans, and related areas. He gained this diverse background after earning his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School

“Miles brings a deep transactional background to our practice, which includes handling exceptionally large and sophisticated matters. In particular, his experience with both institutional owners and lenders is a great fit for us as we continue to expand our presence in New York and across the country,” said Paul Mattingly, chair of Seyfarth’s Real Estate Department.

This is the general sentiment of Seyfarth, with John Napoli, co-managing partner of Seyfarth’s New York Office saying “Miles is a welcome addition to the firm in New York and a transaction-drive practice that’s a strong complement to our existing group of real estate attorney’s here.”

With 800 attorneys throughout 10 U.S. offices, Seyfarth is a national leader, and its Real Estate Department is one of the best in the nation.
