It represents our ability
to choose our rule.

Being ruled is a service
To those who want to be served.
Those who don’t want to be served
choose to run or shut their door.

Even if we don’t participate
We cannot ignore(or alleviate)
The import of History;
Politics being its fodder,
the fodder of our country.

Historians recorded it
Freedom lovers abhored it
Presidents resented it
(having been engulfed by it).

The Bull Ring will toll
the death of the national soul,
but we’ll always choose
our man and our team,
never faltering, never “in between”.

Changing the meaning
of right and of wrong
(only one party or person being one or the other)
has become our sport
And our National Song.
