Woman Abandons Children to Have Sex with Neighbor

A woman from Florida decided to leave her children behind while she went to have sex with her neighbor. The woman, Crystal Rusaw, is 24 and is from New Port Richey. Authorities say that she left her three children, ranging in ages from four years to 10 months, at home while having sex with the neighbor. Rusaw is facing charges from the police because her children were discovered wandering a major highway near their home while she was with the neighbor.

The children were spotted crossing the southbound lanes of Massachusetts Avenue, which is four lanes, at 5 a.m. on Saturday morning. The 10-month-old child was being carried by the four-year-old across the highway. The person who witnessed the incident picked up the children and removed them from the roadway so they were not harmed. That witness also contacted police about the children.

Rusaw was arrested by police deputies and told the officers that she had visited a neighbor for sex and then fell asleep. Police believe that the children were by themselves in the Atrio Lane home for at least four hours. There are 32 registered sex offenders who live within one mile of the home on Atrio Lane.

“It could have been tragic,” said neighbor Joan Miller. “It’s just unbelievable.”

“I just see toys, and little kids always running and walking, and riding bicycles unsupervised down the street,” says William Gray, another neighbor.
