The funeral of actor and director Sage Stallone will be picketed by members of the Westboro Baptist Church because his father, Sylvester Stallone, was an ‘adulterous dad.’ It was announced over the weekend that Sage, 36, was found dead in his home on July 13. Not long after the announcement, Margie Phelps, the daughter of Fred Phelps, the leader of the Westboro Baptist Church, tweeted that picketers should be at Stallone’s funeral.
“Thrice-married rebel taught his son to mock God. #picketfuneral,” Phelps tweeted on July 13.

The Westboro Baptist Church is known for its protests at funeral for military personnel because of its anti-gay agenda. Now, the church has decided to target Sage Stallone because of his father’s relationships.
“Adulterous dad brought wrath of God on son. #BloodOnDadsHands #picketfuneral #woe,” Phelps tweeted. She also tweeted, “Tell @TheSlyStallone to mourn for his sins, not pimp out son’s dead body to more proud sin!”
Sylvester Stallone was married three times and Sage was his first child with Sasha Czack, who was his first wife. The couple was married from 1975 to 1985. Sage was found in his home in Los Angeles on July 13 and an autopsy has been completed but toxicology results will not be known for at least two months. Los Angeles Police Department detectives are still working on the case.
