Holmes-Cruise Divorce Not a Result of Scientology

Sources close to Tom Cruise claim that the divorce between Cruise and wife Katie Holmes is not connected to the religion of Scientology even though Holmes claims that it is. One of the sources close to Cruise claims that Holmes and her representatives are leaking false stories to the media that she was attempting to save her daughter Suri from the grasp of Scientology, which is why she claims she left Cruise.

Another source very close to Cruise said the following: “She [Katie] was totally committed to Scientology. She had enthusiasm for it and would voluntarily and gladly participate in it when Tom was off shooting movies. This is not a fight over religion. It’s being used as a way to hurt Tom.”

When the topic of hurting Cruise in the divorce comes up, Holmes’ people have made it very difficult for Cruise to talk with his daughter Suri on the phone. Cruise has been able to talk with his daughter each day since the announcement one way or another. Cruise has not mentioned any plans to see his daughter anytime soon because he is leaving within the next couple of days to begin filming a new movie in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

There have yet to be any documents filed in court by Cruise’s lawyers that would establish his custodial rights. If the documents are filed then they will be filed in New York but the lawyers will then ask to have the case sent to California.
