McCarter & English LLP Adds Joseph F. Fields

 

The law firm of McCarter & English LLP has announced that attorney Joseph F. Fields is joining the firm as Special Counsel in the firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice in New York. Fields will focus mainly on commercial litigation and brings over 25 years of experience of advising clients in the energy, financial, telecommunications, real estate, internet and other commercial industries for business issues in state and federal courts.

 

According to a press release from the firm, Fields has represented policyholders for insurance coverage issues including the following: directors’ and officers’, errors and omissions, comprehensive general liability, crime loss and fidelity bonds, business interruption, transit insurance, advertising injury and trade libel coverage. Fields has practice appellate law as well. He also has experience representing developers, owners and professionals in contracting and litigation for construction.

Fields is a member of the bars in Connecticut and New York. He earned his J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from Manhattanville College. Fields comes to the firm from Dickstein Shapiro. He served as the Counsel in that firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice in New York.
