it is very scary to me how women who file restraining orders can be killed because the accused is not locked up. Look at how the judge let the father of the Powell children have rights to them and he killed them?
I believe the judges do not really understand what a sociopath is and how dangerous they are.More training for judges needed.

I too know Jason but never met Danielle. I’m just stunned and numb about this. I never thought he could be capable of such cruelty and savagery. My heart goes out to Danielle and her family and loved ones. He threw her life away and his as well. He ruined many lives with his actions. Like Roger, I feel bad for all those involved but friendship aside, he deserves the harshest punishment New York State can give. Disgusted and disappointed.

is the facebook page. Dani was a wonderful person who did not have a history of being with abusive men.
She was sweet and kind and tried to help anyone in need and Jason preyed on these qualities. I suspect he will take his own life before surrendering to the justice system. I do know that he began to isolate Dani from family and friends and finally lured her to New York. It appears that his violent episodes escalated quickly after she moved there according to reports I have read. I personally went through domestic violence for a short period in my life and I am thankful that I survived. I wish that Dani had survived too. We may never know why she went back to the apartment that day, but I know Dani will be missed by many people.

I live in the building where this crime happened. It is absolutely inexcusable that the authorities let this monster go free after he was arrested for abusing her and after he threatened to “hunt her down like a dog.” Whoever is responsible for letting him out on bail for free needs to be held publicly accountable. They have some explaining to do.

Roger, I hope you contact the authorities at the 114th precinct in Queens with any information you may have on Jason’s whereabouts. He needs to be arrested and brought back to Queens for trial asap.

I dont support Jason in this tragedy. He was a great guy but this was despicable and he needs to be punished severely. I have a sneaking suspicion that he will not be found alive. This is just a huge waste of life.

My heart is broken for the young lady and her family.

It is a shame. A friend of my girlfriends’ was her ex in Florida.

Roger, I hope you will be (or have already been) moved to do her due diligence and contact the local authorities with anything that could help them bring him in for questioning!

Danielle was a cherished child who did have people who loved her and had a home with her mother or her Nana anytime she wanted. She was loved by everyone in her hometown and had many friends who absolutely would have helped her had they known. If her boyfriend did this he deserves to die in the same horrific way this bright wonderful girl did. She was a beautiful person inside and out. May her soul rest in peace and may her brutal killer be punished to the full extent of the law.

Roger, its not what just lurks in his heart. Its the fact that he has a history of abusing women and a restraining order against himself yet still did this. I kenw the victim for a few years when we both lived in Orlando. Danielle was never high strung, just a great heart. What a scumbag he is.

I knew Jason personally and I am shocked. He was a great guy. I am sad for the victim and her family. This should not have happened.

You never know what lurks in the heart of people even when you are around them. Jason could be low key and he could be high strung and very passionate. I have seen both sides of him.
