Miss Pennsylvania Turning This Way and That

Miss Pennsylvania, Sheena Monnin is being called a ‘poor loser’ by organizers of the Miss USA contest after she resigned, following her failure to get included within the top 16 at the pageant staged in Las Vegas on Sunday. On Monday, Sheena posted on Facebook that she could, “no longer be affiliated in any way with an organization I consider to be fraudulent, lacking in morals, inconsistent, and in many ways trashy.”

In a separate post made on Facebook on Tuesday, she said that a fellow contestant had claimed that she had seen a list of the top five winners, days before the pageant took place. Her claims were investigated by the Miss Universe Organization and found to be baseless.

The organizers released the copy of an earlier e-mail sent by Monnin to a regional organizer in which she claimed that she was resigning as Miss Pennsylvania because she objected to the inclusion of trans-genders in the contest, which apparently, is against her “moral fiber.”

The organizers pointed out the change of stance by the present Miss Pennsylvania and issued a statement saying, “Today she has changed her story by publicly making false accusations claiming that the pageant was fixed.”

Donald Trump, the real estate developer who co-owns the Miss Universe Organization told NBC that Monnin’s allegations were “ridiculous.” He also said, “We’re going to bring a lawsuit against this girl … This is a girl who went there, lost, wasn’t in the 15, and she’s angry at the pageant system.”

Monnin couldn’t be reached by the media for further comments.
