30 days late to school in a whole school year really is not that much. especially when you have 3 children depending on their ages to get up get ready, feed them etc...& to have them all out the door to school at a certain Time but its a so nice they live right by the school. I have 3 children ages 6, 2 and 1 and it is extremely hard for me to get them all up fed dressed and ready out the door by 8 o'clock to get my 6 year old to school by 830 and we live 20 minutes from her school. so I totally understand how this happens and I have learned to wake them up much earlier to give us a lot of extra time have everything prepared the night before and the morning goes a lot smoother! I wish you a good luck with this case and hope that you find a schedule that helps u.get them to sko on.time.

While I totally understand how some children are like herding cats, the parent should get the kids up early enough to get their morning routine finished before school, and get them in bed at a decent hour so they aren't slacking in the morning. I think criminal charges are extreme, so maybe they need some parenting classes that focus on teaching children a routine and listening to their parents.

Truant is one who shirks duty; especially : one who stays out of school without permission. Although 30 minute every day for 30 days is a lot. I do not see the law being broken. He is not letting them lay out.

Funny in a journal affiliated with the law that the law is never discussed. Instead, people's supposed sentiments are referenced. Anyway, school should be a service the parent's can make use of or not. Compulsory schooling is inconsistent with liberty.

Have you ever considered looking at the statute with which the Denicores have been charged to determine if it is a crime? Bad journalism.
