Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is set to appear in an upcoming issue of Playboy but the cover of that issue has been leaked onto the internet, or at least so we think. It has neither been confirmed nor denied that the cover circulating around the internet is in fact the one that will hit newsstands soon. Lohan is scheduled to make an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on December 15 but you can search for her magazine cover now if you would like to see it. The visit to Ellen’s show was supposed to include Lohan giving the public a sneak peak at some of her photos from the latest edition of the popular men’s magazine.
Many in the media world who have seen the purported cover claim that her cover shot is very classy. Honestly, she looks pretty good on the cover. Lohan, 25, is rocking a vintage-glam look, and has been dolled up to look somewhat like Marilyn Monroe, according to the Huffington Post. On the cover, Lohan is pictured straddling a chair that is shaped like a bunny, which covers her private parts in a strategic manner.
A publicist for the magazine announced earlier this week that Lohan would be conducting only one interview regarding the cover and the magazine in an effort to promote her photo shoot with the company. Many experts in the industry are wondering if the cover was ‘leaked’ as an effort to makeup her lack of appearance promoting the edition of the magazine.
MTV had an opportunity to speak with a representative of the magazine about the leaked cover and Lohan:
“Someone took photos of Lindsay’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue. They posted the photos online without permission. We are not releasing any official images or information until December 15.”
Hugh Hefner, the magazine mogul, tweeted the following information on Friday December 9 about the release date of the Lohan magazine:
“Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we’re releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early.”
Hefner never did mention a specific release date for the Lohan edition of the magazine but he did offer some complementary tweets about Lohan’s photo shoot:
“The Lindsay Lohan issue of Playboy is going to be a true Collector’s Edition.” “Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the Internet yesterday. Her issue goes on sale late next week. Hot. Hot. Hot.”
Hefner also mentioned that the internet demand for the magazine has been extremely high so far. The leak of the cover has been traced to a man who has taken credit for the photo, who uploaded it to a file-sharing site in Russia. It has been rumored that Lohan received close to $1 million for the photos and the interview with the magazine.
