Drunk NM mayor signed city contracts

NM Mayor Martin Resendiz admitted that he was inebriated while signing 9 important contracts with Synthesis+ which was worth $ 1 million. The law suit filed by Synthesis+ means that the city might still have to pay the amount because of unjust enrichment despite the council’s failure to approve the contracts. Reports say that Resendiz went out for drinks with the company’s executives prior to signing and they didn?t portray the documents as contracts when he signed them. This might just change the court’s determination of fairness.
