Transitional National Council Receives Recognition from US, Which Will Cause Gadhafi’s Funds to be Unfrozen

The Transitional National Council has been recognized as the government of Libya by the USA, unfreezing funds that are needed for the rebel cause. The council provides essential services like running water and electricity for the Libyan people, while also operating an interim government and fighting a war. The US Treasury Department is channeling part of what were Gadhafi’s funds to the council.
