A legislation which required a woman to pass a 24-hour waiting period before undergoing an abortion and also viewing an ultrasound of the fetus was vetoed by North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue. According to her, the legislation extremely interferes with the relationship and prevents the Physician from freedom of advice to their patients, and it is nothing but an ideological agenda of the elected officials that needs to be vetoed.
