Mintz Levin Co-Chairs Featured Speakers at MIT Conference

mintz levinThomas R. Burton III and Sahir Surmeli, co-chairs of Mintz Levin’s Energy and Clean Technology Practice Group, will be the featured speakers at affiliated MIT conferences Thursday and Friday in Greater Boston.

Burton will serve as a panelist at the 2010 MIT Sloan CFO Summit on Thursday at the Marriott Newton and Surmeli will moderate a panel at the 13th Annual MIT Venture Capital Conference on Friday at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge.

Burton will join more than 500 CFOs and senior financial executives, and MIT Sloan School of Management faculty as a featured panelist at the 2010 MIT Sloan CFO Summit. The theme for this year’s Summit is getting “Back to Growth.” Burton will be speaking on a panel entitled “It’s the Clean Green Lean Profit-making Machine…”

Surmeli will moderate a panel at the MIT Venture Capital Conference that will address how venture-backed clean technology companies are adjusting their business models to deal with the post-recession economic environment and the challenges in addressing the massive existing infrastructure dedicated to traditional energy sources and systems.

The panel will bring together established energy venture capitalists, startup CEOs, and experts in law, regulation, and policy.
