‘Super Lawyers’ Give Duffy & Duffy Their Due

Four litigators from medical malpractice firm Duffy & Duffy have been named top attorneys in the New York metro area by Super Lawyers magazine.  The firm’s founder, James Duffy, and managing partner Michael E. Duffy, along with trial counsels James Wilkens and David Pollack all received the recognition, which is achieved by no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state.

Super Lawyers is a listing of “exceptional” lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have achieved an “outstanding” level of peer recognition and professional achievement. All four Duffy & Duffy lawyers were named in the Personal Injury Plaintiff: Medical Malpractice category.

“It is an honor that four of our attorneys are included in this year’s Super Lawyers rankings,” said Managing Partner Michael E. Duffy.  ”Our firm is well versed in the medical issues that our clients face, ensuring that we understand the pain they and their families have endured, as we work to afford justice to each client while continuously advocating for increased patient safety.”

Super Lawyers attorneys are selected through a three-step rating process that includes the creation of the candidate pool, evaluation of candidates by the research department, and peer evaluation by practice area. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement such as verdicts and settlements, representative clients, and community service.

Super Lawyers selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.
