Squire Sanders Once Again Achieves Top Ranking in 2011 Corporate Equality Index

Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. once again has achieved a 100-percent rating in the 2011 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), published annually by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. It is part of the largest advocacy group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees in the United States.

The global law firm was one of 338 businesses to achieve the top rating of 100 percent.

The foundation researched 618 employers, including more than half of the Fortune 500 list. The index is based on the foundation’s independent research, as well as information submitted by the businesses themselves. Each is evaluated on criteria including nondiscrimination policies, diversity training covering sexual orientation, and employer-provided domestic partner health insurance.

According to today’s press release at PR Newswire, Traci H. Rollins, co-chair of the Squire Sanders Diversity Committee was quoted as saying: “We are very pleased to once again receive a rating of 100 percent in the esteemed CEI index, both because we work hard to encourage and support diversity, and because many of our clients have also been named as top-rated employers. It’s great to share this honor with them.”

Founded in 1890, Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. has lawyers in 32 offices and 15 countries around the world. With one of the strongest integrated global platforms and a longstanding one-firm philosophy, Squire Sanders provides legal counsel worldwide.
