PRWeb: Greenberg Traurig’s Reorganization and Bankruptcy Practice Group has received the Global M&A Network’s 2010 Turnaround Atlas Award for its work in the LandSource Communities restructuring. The award is for the Chapter 11 Reorganization of year for a deal over $1 billion (yes billion and yes there are awards for these types of things).
According to the press release, LandSource Communities Development LLC was one a very few real estate development mega-companies to successfully emerge from a Chapter 11 reorg under the fall out of the real estate market tank in the last several years. Greenberg helped get the company out of the hole and negotiate and reduce over $1.2 billion in debt.
