Bernard M. Gross Files Class Action on Behalf of Transocean Shareholders

The fallout from the Gulf oil spill continues.  Market Watch and Globe Newswire posted this morning that the Law Offices of Bernard Gross filed a class action suit in the Eastern District Court of Louisiana.  The suit is filed on behalf of all shareholders of Transocean, Ltd.who purchased their stock between August 2009 and May 2010.  Not only does the complaint name Transocean but it names a number of its officers and directors for a number of claims arising from violations of Securities Exchange Act.

Transcocean, Ltd is the world’s largest offshore drilling contractor and was involved, along with British Petroleum, in the April 20, 2010 Deepwater Horizon incident which caused the Gulf oil spill, one of the largest on record.
